Kid-approved and freezer-friendly!

And best of all? They come together in under an hour with no mixer required.

🛒 Ingredients

You likely already have most of these on hand:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup light brown sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2/3 cup milk (whole or 2% works best)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

2 large eggs

1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups chocolate chips (semisweet or milk chocolate)

Optional: A few extra chocolate chips for sprinkling on top before baking.

👩‍🍳 How to Make Them

Preheat & prep:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease.

Mix dry ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, both sugars, baking powder, and salt.

Mix wet ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Combine:
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir gently until just combined. Don’t overmix — a few lumps are okay!

Add the chocolate chips:
Fold them in gently, reserving a few to sprinkle on top if desired.

Fill & bake:
Fill muffin cups about ¾ full. Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top of each. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center (watch out for melted chocolate!).

Cool & enjoy:
Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
