Fill the muffin tins:
Divide the batter evenly into muffin tins (previously greased or lined with paper baking cups if necessary). Place half a cherry tomato on top of each muffin and add a fresh basil leaf for garnish.
Bake:
Bake the muffins for 20 to 25 minutes. Keep an eye on them: they should be golden brown and puffed up. To check if the muffins are cooked, insert the tip of a knife into the center; it should come out clean.
Serve:
Let the muffins cool slightly before removing them from the tin and enjoying them. These muffins can be served warm or at room temperature, accompanied by a green salad for a light meal, or simply as is for a successful appetizer.
