1. Prepare the Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
Gently fold in mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth. Avoid overmixing to keep it light and airy.
2. Make the Coffee Dip
In a shallow dish, combine cooled coffee (or espresso) with coffee liqueur, if using.
Quickly dip the ladyfinger pieces in the coffee mixture—don’t let them get soggy.
3. Assemble the Pudding Cups
Place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of each serving cup.
Add a layer of mascarpone cream on top.
Repeat layers, finishing with cream.
4. Chill and Garnish
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to let flavors meld.
Before serving, dust tops with cocoa powder.
Garnish with shaved chocolate or chocolate chips, if desired.
