2. Cooking Techniques
There are two popular ways to cook ribs: oven-baked or grilled over charcoal.
Oven Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C).
2. Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil with a little apple juice or water to create steam.
3. Bake for 2.5–3 hours, until the meat is tender and almost falling off the bone.
Grill Method:
1. Preheat the grill to medium-low heat.
2. Cook the ribs indirectly (not directly over flames) for 2–3 hours, turning occasionally.
3. Brush with barbecue sauce during the last 30 minutes to caramelize the exterior without burning.
Pro Tip: Low and slow cooking is the key. It allows the collagen in the ribs to break down, making the meat soft and flavorful.
