Butter Toffee Pretzels

(Makes 24–30 pretzel pieces)

Base:
1 (10–12 oz) bag pretzel rods or twists (about 80–100 pieces)

Toffee Coating:

½ cup (1 stick / 115g) unsalted butter

1 cup (200g) packed light brown sugar

¼ tsp salt

1 tbsp light corn syrup (or honey)

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon or pinch of cayenne for warmth
