A simple trick that saved me 10 cubic meters of water per month

Recently, I’ve started thinking about our utility bills, especially after noticing that our household’s water consumption is significantly higher than average. Statistics show that the average person uses about 5 cubic meters of water per month, but our numbers were different.

It all started when I wrote a post about my experience with the water supply. The incident occurred due to an incorrect receipt showing that we used 140 cubic meters of water in a month. The error was corrected, and it turned out that our actual consumption was 47 cubic meters, which seemed incredibly high for three people.

Thinking about this, I decided to check the functionality of our meter myself. I did it quite simply: I memorized the last digit of the meter, poured three liters of water into a container, and checked the reading. The meter worked perfectly.
