How to Make Swedish Meatball Pasta Bake
Prepare the meatballs: In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, onion, garlic, allspice, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs.
Brown the meatballs: In a skillet, cook the meatballs over medium heat until browned on all sides but not fully cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Cook the pasta: Boil pasta according to package directions until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add beef broth and cream (or sour cream). Bring to a simmer and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and bake: Mix pasta, meatballs, and sauce in a baking dish. Top with shredded cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Garnish and serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve warm.
